Been there several times and enjoyed the food and service there. (LKY)
Love the garlic flavoured al denta pasta which comes as a side dish with every main course.
It goes very well with the stews they serve.
Personally, i feel that their pork knuckle is a tat dry from the oven roast. however the sauce that comes with it makes up the lost moisture.

Love their cheese and hunter sauages, OX tail and lamb stews.

Happy dining. :D

Unfortunate experience

Postby David » Wed Apr 30, 2008 2:35 am

Sadly, this was the worst dining experience so far this year. In two cases, the menu descriptions of chowder and gumbo were not matched by the dishes placed before us. We returned the chowder as inedible — a sour and unpleasant taste. The chicken in the gumbo was tough and not cooked through — and a gumbo with no thickening of okra, no rice. etc. The sauces for the gumbo and the ratatouille were almost indistinguishable, i.e. a thin gruel of tomato, seriously lacking proper herbs and seasoning. The lamb was tender but again the sauce was watery and had no substance.

I heartily begrudged the $80+ for two entrees and three main courses it took us to be reminded just how awful food can be. We left half-full plates behind us and ate in a nearby coffeshop.

Hi, anyone knows if they closed down or moved to somewhere else?
